  Proteins

Help our bodies to build all of the necessary hormones, proteins, and enzymes it needs to function properly.

Choose lean protein sources such as chicken, turkey, and fish. Beans, seeds, and nuts are also healthy proteins but these do have more calories than lean meats, so don't go over board! Other healthy choices include low-fat cheese, cottage cheese, 1% or skim milk, non-fat yogurt and soy.

Limit the amounts of high fat proteins such as most beef, ribs, regular cheese, hotdogs, bacon, sausage, and whole milks.
